Frequently asked questions
Does the snowball method actually work?
It works in the sense that people stick with it: clearing a whole debt is a real milestone and one less payment to think about. It costs more than paying the highest rate first, and the result shows exactly how much more, so the choice is yours to make with the number in front of you.
How exact is it?
The arithmetic is exact and rounded the way money is, at the cent. What it cannot know is anything specific to you, so read it as the ordinary case rather than as advice.
Is anything uploaded?
Every figure is worked out in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, there is no sign-up, and no result is stored anywhere but on your own device.
