Frequently asked questions
How do you work out the percentage off?
Take the amount off, divide it by the original price, and multiply by 100. From 80 down to 60 the amount off is 20, so the discount is 25 percent of the original price rather than 33 percent of the new one.
How exact is it?
The arithmetic is exact and rounded the way money is, at the cent. What it cannot know is anything specific to you, so read it as the ordinary case rather than as advice.
Is anything uploaded?
Every figure is worked out in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, there is no sign-up, and no result is stored anywhere but on your own device.
